<br />ORrmwG.~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING $211,625 IN GRANTS FROM THE VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF HISTORIC RESOURCES AND APPROPRIATING $111,625 <br />IN THE FY 2007-2008 GRANTS FUND AND $100,000 IN THE FY 2007-2008 <br />CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $95,000 from the Virginia <br />Department of Historic Resources for a contribution to the Hoffler Creek Wildlife <br />Preserve for a Nature Center and appropriates the same amount in the FY 2007-2008 <br />Grants Fund. <br /> <br />2. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $16,625 from the Virginia <br />Department of Historic Resources for use by the Department of Museums for renovation <br />of the Lightship Portsmouth wheelhouse and appropriates the same amount in the FY <br />2007-2008 Grants Fund. <br /> <br />3. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of$100,000 from the Virginia <br />Department of Historic Resources for architectural and engineering design for the new <br />Churchland Branch Library and appropriates the same amount in the FY 2007-2008 <br />Capital Projects Fund. <br /> <br />4. That estimated revenue in the FY 2007-2008 Grants Fund is increased by <br />$111,625 and in the FY 2007-2008 Capital Projects Fund by $100,000.. <br /> <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on October 9, 2007. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
