<br />l~lJ"l!Il:L..M" llfi 2007-80 <br />y.~ j~~ tIU... . ,. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING $210,500 IN GRANTS FROM THE OFFICE OF <br />THE SECRETARY OF THE SUPREME COURT OF VIRGINIA, THE VIRGINIA <br />COMMISSION FOR THE ARTS PROJECT, AND THE VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND APPROPRIATING <br />SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2007-2008 GRANTS FUND. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $182,500 from the Office <br />ofthe Secretary of the Supreme Court of Virginia for use by the Third Judicial Circuit <br />Court for the Portsmouth Adult Drug Treatment Court. <br /> <br />2. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of$3,000 from the Virginia <br />Commission for the Arts Project for use by the Museums Department for the Outdoor <br />Sculpture Competition and Exhibition in the courtyard of the Courthouse GaJleries. <br /> <br />3. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $25,000 from the Virginia <br />Department of Emergency Management for use by the Portsmouth Department of Fire, <br />Rescue, and Emergency /Services for the Citizens corps Program. <br /> <br />4. That the sum of$210,500 is appropriated in the FY 2007-2008 Grants <br />Fund for the above purposes, and that estimated revenue in said Fund is increased by <br />$210,500. <br /> <br />5. That this ordinance shaJl take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 14,2007. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
