<br />ORDINANCE IIJ. 2007~!J <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $2,116,800 IN THE FY 2007.2008 PUBLIC <br />UTILITIES FUND OPERATING BUDGET FROM UNRESTRICTED RETAINED <br />EARNINGS TO PURCHASE EMERGENCY DROUGHT RAW WATER FROM <br />THE CITY OF NORFOLK. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the sum of$2,116,800 is hereby appropriated in the FY 2007-2008 <br />Public Utilities Fund Operating Budget to purchase emergency drought raw water from <br />the City of Norfolk. <br /> <br />2. That the source of the appropriation will be funds accumulated in unrestricted <br />retained earnings. <br /> <br />3. That estimated revenues in the FY 2007-2008 Public Utilities Fund <br />Operating Budget are increased by $2,116,800. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 24, 2007. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
