ORDINAHCt. MO. 2 00 7 -72 . AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 10 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA (2006) BY AMENDING SECTION 10-69 THEREOF AND BY ADOPTING NEW SECTIONS 10-72 AND 10-122 PERTAINING TO THE MODIFICATION OF VOTING PRECINCT NO. 37 AND THE CREATION OF NEW VOTING PRECINCT NO. 39. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That Section 10-69 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006) be amended and reordained to read as follows: Sec. 10-69. Precinct No. 37. The boundaries of Precinct No. 37 shall be as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Cedar Lane and the centerline of the track now or formerly of Norfolk, Franklin and Danville Railway Company; thence southwesterly along said railroad centerline to the centerline of the track now or formerly of the Seaboard Coast Line Railway Company; thence northerly and westerly along said railroad property centerline to the centerline of Twin Pines Road; thence northerly along the centerline of Twin Pines Road to the centerline of Swannanoa Drive; and thence easterly on the centerline of Swannanoa Drive to the centerline of River Shore Road; thence northerly on the centerline of River Shore Road to the centerline of Hedgerow Lane; thence easterly along the centerline of Hedgerow Lane to the western property line of Craney Island Fuel Depot; thence southerly along the western property line of the Craney Island Fuel Depot; thence meandering easterly along the southern property line of Craney Island Fuel Depot to the centerline of Cedar Lane; thence southerly along the centerline of Cedar Lane to the centerline of the track now or formerly of Norfolk, Franklin and Danville Railway Company, the point of beginning. 2. That new Sections 10-72 and 10-122 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006) be adopted to read as follows: Sec. 10-72. Precinct No. 39. The boundaries of Precinct No. 39 shall be as follows: The boundaries of Precinct No. 39 shall be as follows: Beginning at the point where the centerline of Twin Pines Road and the centerline of Hofflers Creek Parkway intersect; thence westerly along the centerline of Hofflers Creek Parkway, if extended, to the corporate boundary line of the City of Suffolk; thence northerly along said corporate boundary line to its intersection with the corporate boundary line of the City of Newport News; thence northeast along the Newport News corporate boundary line to a point on the fairway for shallow draft vessels and tows, said point being located on the corporate limits as same existed on January I, 1968; thence easterly along the corporate limits following the fairway for shallow draft vessels and tows to its intersection with the centerline of the Norfolk Harbor Reach Channel; thence south along the centerline of said channel to the centerline of Craney
