<br />shall be paid to the city treasurer or the police records office of the police department, <br />who shall be accountable therefor. <br /> <br />See, 22-642. Procedure in case of violation. <br /> <br />(a) It shall be the duty of each police officer, or uniformed city employee or <br />appointee whose normal duties include parking enforcement, acting in accordance with <br />instructions issued by the chief of police, to report: <br />(1) The number of each parking meter that indicated that a vehicle occupying <br />the parking space adjacent to such parking meter is or has been parked in <br />violation of any of the provisions of this division. <br />(2) The state license number and/or any other identifying information of such <br />vehicle. <br />(3) The length of time during which such vehicle is parked in violation of any <br />of the provisions of this division. <br />(4) Any other facts, knowledge of which is necessary to a thorough <br />understanding of the circumstances attending such violation. <br /> <br />(b) Each police officer or other uniformed City employee or appointee whose <br />normal duties include parking enforcement, shall attach to the vehicle a notice to the <br />owner thereof; that the vehicle has been parked in violation of a provision of this division <br />and instructing the owner to report to the city treasurer or the police records office of the <br />police department in regard to such violation, and to pay the penalty or state objection to <br />and intent to contest the notice of violation. Each owner may, within 14 days of the time <br />when such notice was attached to the vehicle, pay a penalty in the sum of$25.00 for <br />violation of any of the provisions of this division. Provided, however, the penalty for an <br />expired meter violation in the Downtown Business District, as defined in section 22-582, <br />shall be $15.00. If the owner ofthe vehicle fails to make the payment within 14 days of <br />the time when such notice was attached to the vehicle or state objection to and intent to <br />contest the notice of violation, then an additional notice shall be given the owner, and an <br />additional penalty of $] 0.00 shall be charged for the additional notice. All monies shall <br />be paid to the city treasurer or the police records office of the police department, who <br />shall be accountable therefor. <br /> <br />Sec. 22-664. Violation ofregulations of parking authority and city. <br /> <br />(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to violate any regulation relating to <br />parking on lots or in garages designated in sections 22-661 and 22-662. Violators shall be <br />proceeded against as hereinafter set forth. <br /> <br />(b) It shall be the duty of each police officer, or other uniformed city <br />employee or appointee whose duties include parking enforcement, to report, with regards <br />to any violations of subsection (a) of this section: <br />
