<br />ORDINANCE II. 2007-~. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING $446,643 IN GRANT AND OTHER FUNDS <br />ALLOCATED BY THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENTS OF HEALTH AND <br />MENTAL HEALTH, MENTAL RETARDATION AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE <br />SERVICES, THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN <br />DEVELOPMENT, AND THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA'S GENERAL <br />FUND FOR VARIOUS BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE PROGRAMS AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID SUM IN THE FY 2006-2007 BEHAVIORAL <br />HEALTHCARE SERVICES FUND OPERATING BUDGET. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia; <br /> <br />I. That the City accepts a grant in the amount of $500 from the Virginia <br />Department of Health's Division of Injury and Violence Prevention to be used to <br />purchase bicycle helmets to be distributed to needy children at the 10th Annual Youth <br />Expo. <br /> <br />2. That the City accepts an allocation in the amount of $3,500 from the <br />Virginia Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse <br />Services to be used to provide services to persons found not guilty by reason of insanity. <br /> <br />3. That the City accepts an allocation in the amount of $7,806 from the <br />Virginia Department of Mental Health, Mcntal Retardation, and Substance Abuse <br />Services to be used to provide direst services to Part C eligible children. <br /> <br />4. That the City accepts an allocation in the amount of $760 from the <br />Virginia Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse <br />Services to be used for Virginia Summer Institute for Addiction Studies training. <br /> <br />5. That the City accepts an allocation in the amount of $416,941 from the <br />U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to be used for the Shelter Plus Care <br />Grant and Supportive Housing Program. <br /> <br />6. That the City accepts an allocation in the amount of $17,136 from the <br />Commonwealth of Virginia's General Fund to be used to cover the costs for providing <br />adult restoration services to adult defendants with mental illness or mental retardation <br />who are injail or on bond. <br /> <br />7. That estimated revenue in the FY 2006-2007 Behavioral Healthcare <br />Services Fund is increased by $446,643, and said amount is appropriated in the FY 2006- <br />2007 Behavioral Healthcare Services Fund for the above-mentioned programs. <br /> <br />8. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />
