<br />resubdivision of said land into buildable lots, and the conveyance of said lots for the construction <br /> <br /> <br />of affordable housing will assist in accomplishing these goals. It is not anticipated that <br /> <br /> <br />implementation of the Plan will require the relocation of any family from the Project Area. <br /> <br /> <br />Since the original adoption of the Redevelopment Plan for the Centre A venue/Oak Street <br /> <br /> <br />Redevelopment Project, those properties designated "Previously Acquired" have been acquired <br /> <br /> <br />by the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority and conveyed for redevelopment, <br /> <br /> <br />significantly addressing the blight described hereinabove. <br /> <br /> <br />B. Description of Proiect <br /> <br /> <br />I. Proiect Boundary <br /> <br /> <br />The boundary of the Project Area is as shown on Exhibit No. I hereto. <br /> <br /> <br />2. Redevelopment Plan Obiectives <br /> <br /> <br />(a) To revitalize the Project Area and to take such other public actions <br /> <br /> <br />required to facilitate the improvement of existing residential uses which are feasible for <br /> <br /> <br />rehabilitation. <br /> <br />(b) To acquire blighted or deteriorated areas, which are hereby defined as <br />areas (including slum areas) with buildings or improvements which, by reason of dilapidation, <br />obsolescence, overcrowding, faulty arrangement of design, lack of ventilation, light and sanitary <br />facilities, excessive land coverage, deleterious land use or obsolete layout, or any combination of <br /> <br />these or other factors, are detrimental to the safety, health, morals or welfare of the community. <br /> <br />(c) To acquire other real property for the purpose of removing, preventing, or <br /> <br /> <br />reducing blight, blighting factors or the cause of blight. <br /> <br /> <br />(d) To acquire real property where the condition of the title, the diverse <br /> <br /> <br />ownership of the real property to be assembled, the street or lot layouts, or other conditions <br /> <br />prevent a proper development of the property and where the acquisition of the area is necessary <br /> <br />3 <br />
