<br />ORDINANCE Hf).006-U4 <br />. - <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $38,838 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2006-2007 GRANTS FUND <br />BUDGET FOR TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the City of Portsmouth hereby accepts grant funds in the amount of <br />$38,838 from the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles and appropriates said amount <br />in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund Budget to be used by the Police Department for <br />comprehensive driving under the influence, speeding, and passenger vehicle and <br />commercial motor vehicle occupant restraint enforcement <br /> <br />2. That estimated revenues in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund Budget are <br />increased by $38,838. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held <br />on December 12, 2006. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
