<br />Sec. 16-37. Positioning of materials for collection. <br /> <br />All garbage, trash, paper, corrugated cartons, paper or pasteboard boxes, and other <br />waste, to be removed by the city under this article shall be placed on the sidewalk as near <br />to the curb as possible or between the sidewalk and the curb, except where public alleys <br />are provided, in which instance, refuse for collection shall be placed in such alley. Bulk <br />refuse shall always be placed as near to the curb as possible or between the sidewalk and <br />the curb and shall not be placed in public alleys even where same are provided. Bulk <br />refuse must be placed clear of water meters, TV cable boxes, power lines, utility poles <br />and tree limbs. <br /> <br />Sec. 16-39. Certain items unacceptable. <br /> <br />The following items shall not be removed by the city and shall not be placed for <br />collections. It shall be the responsibility of the person generating such items to transport <br /> <br />and dispose of the same: <br /> <br />(I) Industrial wastes; <br /> <br />(2) Debris from construction, remodeling, razing and repair operations on <br />residential and commercial buildings and other structures; or any material generated by a <br />contractor; <br /> <br />(3) Hazardous wastes; and <br /> <br />(4) Large dead animals. <br /> <br />Sec. 16-62. Exemptions. <br /> <br />(c) No exemptions or refunds shall be granted for services not utilized. <br /> <br />Sec. 16-64. Rates for dwelling units and certain other establishments. <br /> <br />The service charge for the collection and disposal of trash and garbage from any <br />dwelling unit and any other establishment not subject to the charges imposed by section <br />16-65 shall be at the rate or $ 22.00 per month per dwelling unit or, in the case of such <br />other establishments, at the rate of $22.00 per month for each such other establishment. <br />The charges imposed under this section shall be billed with the statement rendered for <br />water and sewer charges. <br />
