<br />Sec. 16-32. Type of containers required. <br /> <br />(a) For areas receiving automated refuse collection it shall be unlawful for <br />garbage or trash to be set out for collection unless the same is placed in a sixty-five- or <br />one-hundred-five-gallon container furnished by the city. <br /> <br />(b) In areas receiving automated refuse collection, as defined in section 16-1, <br />yard waste must be set out for collection placed in clear plastic bags. Such bags must not <br />exceed forty (40) gallons or twenty-five (25) pounds each. Customers are limited to <br />twenty bags per collection. Customers shall not mix any other form of trash, refuse or <br />garbage with yard waste. Yard waste too bulky to be placed in clear plastic bags shall be <br />included for collection as bulk refuse. <br /> <br />(c) <br />director. <br /> <br />The type of containcrs rcquircd in cach area shall be determined by the <br /> <br />Sec. 16-34. Preparation of certain materials for coIIection. <br /> <br />(a) Paper. It shall be unlawful for any person to place any paper for collection <br />by the city without placing the same in a receptacle or refuse bag complying with section <br />16-32 or having the same securely bundled so that the paper cannot be blown or scattered <br />about the street. <br /> <br />(b) Cartons, boxes. It shall be unlawful for any person to place for collection <br />by the city any empty or discarded corrugated cartons or paper or pasteboard boxes of <br />any kind without first preparing them by flattening and securely tying them in bundles <br />not exceeding 25 pounds in weight, with strong, stout cord. <br /> <br />(c ) Yard waste. It shall be unlawful for any person to place for collection by <br />the city, yard waste containing dirt, rocks or other material not included in the definition <br />of yard waste. Material shall be placed in clear plastic bags complying with section 16- <br />32. It shall be unlawful to rake, sweep or place yard waste into or onto the street, curb, <br />gutter or drainage structure. <br /> <br />(d) Small dead animals. Small dead animals will be collected by the city <br />during normal operating hours provided the body is placed in a properly sealed plastic or <br />polyethylene refuse bag and placed as near to the curb as possible or between the <br />sidewalk and the curb. <br /> <br />(e) Tires: Tires shall be pla.:cd as close to the curb as possible or between the <br />sidewalk and the curb in accordance with Section 16-36. A limit off our tircs per 12- <br />month period shall be collected. If more than four tires are placed out for collection <br />within any 12-nlDr.~h period the property owner or occupant of the property shall be <br />
