<br />iIi!.."lYrt.' 2006~8 <br />d"U1ftMUI"" , '- - <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING GRANT FROM THE COMMONWEALTH OF <br />VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $553,667 AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE <br />GRANTS FUND BUDGET FOR PRETRIAL AND PROBATION SERVICES IN <br />THE CITY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />I. That the City of Portsmouth hereby accepts a grant from the <br />Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services in the amount of <br />$553,667 and appropriates said amount in the Grants Fund Budget for the operation of <br />pretrial and probation services in the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br />2. That the City's estimated revenue in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund is <br />increased by $553,667. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held <br />on August 8, 2006. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
