<br />URllHWIllO.2 0 0 6 ;;61 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $23,900 FROM <br />THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY AND APPROPRIATING <br />THE SAME AMOUNT IN THE FY 2006-2007 GRANTS FUND FOR THE <br />ACQUISITION OF TECHNICAL RESCUE AND COMMUNICATIONS <br />EQUIPMENT BY THE PORTSMOUTH DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, RESCUE <br />AND EMERGENCY SERVICES. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />I. That it accepts a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in <br />the amount of $23,900 for use by the Portsmouth Department of Fire, Rescue and <br />Emergency Services for the acquisition of technical rescue and communications <br />equipment. <br /> <br />2. That the sum of $23,900 is hereby appropriated in the FY 2006-2007 <br />Grants Fund. <br /> <br />3. That estimated revenues in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund are increased <br />by $23,900. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 25, 2006. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
