<br />URDINANCE It. 2006~52_ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $563,354.48 <br />FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND <br />APPROPRIATING THE SAME AMOUNT IN THE FY 2006-2007 GRANTS <br />FUND FOR THE USDA SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />I. That it accepts a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture <br />in the amount of $563,354.48 for use by the Department of Parks, Recreation, and <br />Leisure Services for the USDA Summer Food Program for 2006. <br /> <br />2. That the sum of $563,354.48 is hereby appropriated in the FY 2006-2007 <br />Grants Fund. <br /> <br />3. That estimated revenues in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund are increased <br />by $563,354.48. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on June 27, 2006. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
