<br />URDlNMCE RO. 2005-39 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $198,050 <br />FROM THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF FIRE <br />PROGRAMS AND APPROPRIATING THE SAME AMOUNT IN THE FY 2004- <br />2005 OPERATING BUDGET GRANTS FUND FOR TRAINING EXPENSES AND <br />PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the City of Portsmouth hereby accepts $198,050 in funds received <br />from the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Fire Programs and appropriates the <br />same amount in the FY 2004-2005 Operating Budget Grants Fund for training expenses <br />and purchase of equipment and supplies for the Fire Department. <br /> <br />2. That the City's estimated revenue in the FY 2004-2005 Operating Budget <br />Grants Fund is increased by $198,050. <br /> <br />3.
