<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2005-20 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,709 FROM <br />THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />AMOUNT IN THE GRANTS FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF BULLETPROOF <br />VESTS FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />I. That the City of Portsmouth hereby accepts a grant in the amount of <br />$2,708 from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of <br />Justice Assistance, Bulletproof Vest Program and appropriates said amount in the Grants <br />Fund for the purchase of bulletproof vests for the police department. <br /> <br />2. That the City's estimated revenue in the FY 2004-2005 Grants Fund <br />Operating Budget is increased by $2,709. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held <br />on March 22, 2005. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
