R-04-44 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING A DECLARATION OF EMERGENCY MADE <br />BY THE CITY MANAGER ON AUGUST 14, 2004. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the Declaration of Local Emergency, dated August 14, 2004, a copy <br />of which is attached hereto, made by Interim City Manager James B. Oliver, Jr., in <br />response to the conditions generated by Hurricane Charley, is hereby confirmed, pursuant <br />to Section 2-658 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (1988); and <br /> <br /> 2. That, all emergency actions having been taken, the Local Emergency is <br />hereby declared ended. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held <br />on August 24, 2004. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
