R-04-52 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A LEASE <br />WITH THE RAILROAD MUSEUM OF VIRGINIA, INC. FOR A PORTION OF THE <br />FORMER CSX RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY LYING EAST OF PORTCENTRE <br />PARKWAY. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City <br />Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute an agreement with the Railroad Museum of <br />Virginia, Inc. to lease to the museum under such terms and conditions as he shall deem <br />appropriate and in the best interest of the City of Portsmouth for the following described <br />property, to-wit: <br /> <br />All that certain piece or parcel of land, situate in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />being a portion of the former railroad right of way granted to the City of <br />Portsmouth by CSX Transportation, Inc. by deed date September 13, 2000 and <br />duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia in Deed Book 1311, at page 122, being 37.50 feet in width and 467.00 <br />feet mom or less, and running from the east right of way line of Portcentre <br />Parkway eastwardly 467.00', more or less, as measured along the centerline of the <br />track located thereon to the terminus of the track. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager is authorized to execute such plats or <br />other documents that may be required to carry out the intent of this Resolution. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED at a meeting of the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia held on <br />October 12, 2004. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
