fiRDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2004-2005 CLASSIFICATION AND PAY <br />PLAN TO RECLASSIFY CERTAIN EMPLOYEES AS NON-EXEMPT. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> l. That, because of recent amendments to federal regulations, the 2004-2005 <br />Classification and Pay Plan is hereby amended to reclassify the following City positions <br />from "exempt" to "non-exempt" from the overtime requirements of the federal Fair Labor <br />Standards Act: <br /> <br />Administrator Coordinator II <br />Planner I <br />Video Services Technician <br />CSA Administrative Coordinator <br />Executive Administrative Coordinator <br />Museum Educator <br />Paralegal <br /> <br /> 2. That the reclassification of the positions shall be deemed to have taken <br />place on July 1, 2004, the effective date of the 2004-2005 Classification and Pay Plan. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on December 14, 2004. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
