AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12 OF THE PORTSMOUTH CITY <br />CODE, ENTITLED ~FINANCE" BY ADDING A NEW SECTION 12-122 <br />THERETO TO REQUIRE THE CLERKS OF THE DISTRICT AND CIRCUIT <br />COURTS TO CHARGE A LOCAL CRIMINAL JUSTICE TRAINING <br />ACADEMY FEE IN ADDITION TO CERTAIN OTHER FEES REQUIRED BY <br />LAW. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That ChapTer 12 of the City Code be amended by adding a new section 12- <br /> <br /> 122 to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 12-122. Local criminal justice training academy fee imposed on certain <br /> individuals. <br /> <br /> (a) In addition to any other fee prescribed by law, the Clerks of the Circuit <br /> Court and General District Court, shall charge and collect a local criminal justice training <br /> academy fee of $1 each time a fee is charged pursuant to Virginia Code sections 16.1- <br /> 69.48:1, 17.1-275.1, 17.1-275.2, 17.1-275.3, 17.1-275.4, 17.1~275.7, 17.1-275.8, or 17.1- <br /> 275.9, as each may be mended. <br /> <br /> (h) <br /> <br /> (c) <br /> <br />the City Council. <br /> <br />Training Academy. <br /> <br />Each such Clerk shall remit such fees to the City Treasurer. <br /> <br />The Treasurer shall hold' such fees subject to disbursements authorized by <br /> <br /> All funds from such tee shall support the City's Criminal Justice <br /> <br /> 2.
