inspections may be required by the inspector where, in the inspector's judgement, such <br />inspections are necessary because of the scope or complexity of the work to be installed <br />or performed. Except as provided in section 7-136, each reinspection shall require a fee <br />of thirty-five dollars ($35.00) to be paid prior to the reinspection. <br /> <br />Sec. 7-102. Failure to obtain permit; inspection, certificate of occupancy, etc. <br /> <br /> If any person commences any work on a building or structure or any of the <br />component parts thereof, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing and mechanical <br />features or fixtures, or signs, before obtaining the necessary permit from the department <br />of the building official and code enforcement; or after obtaining such permit executes the <br />work without calling for and receiving inspections from the appropriate division of the <br />department of the building official and code enforcement; or after obtaining such permit. <br />deviates from the plan approved by such department without receiving written approval <br />from the building official; or allows the occupancy of the building or structure for which <br />the permit was obtained before a certificate of occupancy has been issued by the building <br />official; then such person shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to the penalty <br />prescribed by section 7-1 of this chapter. In addition to any criminal penalties and <br />sanctions, where the unlawful acts described above have been identified before a permit <br />is obtained, an administrative fee of $150.00 shall be paid by such person to the city, as <br />well as the permit fee due. <br /> <br />Sec. 7-105. Appeal fee. <br /> <br /> A fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each appeal made to any division of <br />the department of the building official and code enforcement pursuant m the building <br />code shall be paid by the appellant to the city at the time application for the appeal is <br />made. If the appeal is made by a division of the department, no appeal fee shall be due. <br /> <br />Sec. 7-105.1. Administrative fee. <br /> <br /> A fee of $150.00 shall be paid, in addition to any permit fees, if work is begun <br />without necessary permits or if occupancy of the building or structure occurs prior to the <br />issuance of a certificate of occupancy by the building official. <br /> <br />Sec. 7-136. Same--Elevator permits and inspections. <br /> <br /> For periodic inspections made on elevators, dumbwaiters, moving stairs, moving <br />walks and manlifts in accordance with the building code, a processing fee of $15.00 and <br />the following inspection fees shall apply unless otherwise provided: <br /> <br />(1) Six-month inspection .......................................... $ 41.25 <br />(2) Annual hydraulic inspection ................................. $ 85.25 <br />(3) Annual traction inspection ....................................$ 85.25 <br />(4) Three-year inspection ......................................... $141.75 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
