Reasons for Change <br /> <br />Standardize the requirement for Erosion and Sediment Control Plans at one <br />disturbed area threshold at 2500 square feet. The current threshold is 10,000 <br />square feet of disturbed area [2,500sfin the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area) <br />or a single-family residential lot in a subdivision. Numerous erosion and sediment control problems have <br />occurred on these lots. Lowering the threshold will give the city more leverage <br />for enforcing erosion and sediment control regulations. <br /> <br />Standardize the fees for a land-disturbing permit. There is currently no charge for <br />a LDP for single-family residential tots outside of the CBPA.
