R-03-56 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO GRANT AN EASEMENT <br />TO DOMINION VIRGINIA POW-ER OVER AND UNDER A PORTION OF THE <br />PROPERTY OF BRIGHTON SCHOOL. <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, the construction of improvements on the Brighton School property make it <br />necessary for Dominion Virginia Power to lay, construct, operate and maintain one or more lines <br />of underground conduits and cables including, one or more lighting supports and lighting fixtures <br />as may fi~om time to time be detm'mined, and all wires, conduits, cables, transformers, <br />transformer enclosures, concrete pads, manholes, handholes, connection boxes, accessories and <br />appurtenances desirable in connection therewith; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the appropriate placement for the lines would be in an easement not to <br />exceed 30 feet in width across property of Brighton School; and <br /> <br /> WltEREAS, Dominion Virginia Power has requested that such easement be granted in <br />order that the improvements may proceed. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, that the City Manager be. and he hereby is authorized to grant to Dominion Virgima <br />Power an easement for the sole purpose of providing tmderground and overhead facilities for the <br />distribution of electricity, said easement not to exceed 30 feet in width <br /> <br /> ADOPTED at a meeting of the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia held on <br />September 23, 2003. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
