AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $385,178 IN THE GENERAL FUND FOR <br />STREET MAINTENANCE. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the sum of $385,178 be appropriated in the General Fund for the <br />maintenance of streets in the 2002-2003 fiscal year; and <br /> <br /> 2. That this appropriation dehves solely from an excess of street maintenance <br />funds received from the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Transportation over <br />the amount originally budgeted by the City for FY 2002-2003. . <br /> <br /> 3.
