AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 39 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA (1988) BY AMENDING SECTION 39-84 THEREOF <br />PERTAINING TO FEES FOR WETLANDS PERMITS. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> I. That Section 39-84 of the code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (1988) <br />be amended and reordained to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 39-84. Fee to accompany application. <br /> <br /> A nonrefundable fee of $50.00 for single-family dwellings and $150.00 for all <br />other uses shall be paid to the city treasurer for a permit for the use or development of <br />any wetland within the city and a receipt showing such payment shall accompany each <br />application for the same. The fee has been set by the city council with due regard for the <br />services to be rendered, including the time, skill and administrator's expense involved. <br /> <br /> 2.
