Street (now Middle Street Mall); thence running along the South side of High <br /> Street North 87 Degrees 83' 58" East 74.66 feet to the western boundary line of <br /> property formerly belonging to Citizens Trust Company; thence running South 03 <br /> Degrees 32' 38" East 113.66 feet to a pin; thence running South 66 Degrees 57' <br /> 13" West 74.24 feet to a point on the East side of Middle Street (now Middle <br /> Street Mall); thence running North 03 Degrees 36' 21" West 113.81 feet to the <br /> point of beginning; being shown as Parcel 9 on that certain plat entitled, "Physical <br /> Survey of Parcel 9, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority, Urban <br /> Renewal-Crawford Renewal Project VA R-53, City of Portsmouth, Virginia" <br /> made by R. Kenneth Weeks, Engineers, dated March 5, 1971. <br /> <br />The property has been assessed for $238,510.00 and such sum as the Court shall order as <br />compensation shall be paid according to order of said Court. <br /> <br />5. That upon acquisition of either a right of entry onto the property or fee simple title to the <br />property, the City Manager is further authorized to continue or to renew any existing leases, and <br />to grant new leases from time to time, until such time as final preparation for construction is <br />ready to commence, PROVIDED that no lease shall be entered into, renewed, or continued if <br />doing so would in any way jeopardize the continued success and growth of the Children's <br />Museum of Virginia, or the health, safety, or enjoyment of the children and families who use it; <br />and the interests of said children, families, and the Museum itself shall be the overriding concern <br />for any potential leased use of any portion of the property. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council at a meeting held March 12, 2002. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
