R-02-51 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING C. W. McCOY AS PORTSMOUTH CITY MANAGER <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that C. W. <br />McCoy is hereby appointed Portsmouth City Manager, pursuant to 5.01 of the Portsmouth City <br />Charter, at an initial annual salary of $118,404,100, plus additional benefits commensurate with <br />the position. The full terms and conditions of his employment, consistent with this resolution, <br />shall be embodied in a written contract to be prepared by the Personnel Committee of City <br />Council with the assistance of the City Attorney and the concurrence of Council, and then <br />executed by Mr. McCoy and by the Mayor, acting for and on behalf of the City. <br /> <br /> The City Manager is hereby authorized to fully exercise all rights and powers granted to <br />him by the Portsmouth City Charter and other applicable law, on behalf of the City and its <br />citizens. <br /> <br /> This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its enactment. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a specially called meeting <br />held on September 20, 2002 <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Chief Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
