AN ORDINANCE TO CLOSE PORTIONS OF FAUQUIER AVENUE, CLIFFORD STREET. GRIFFIN STREET, AND RACE STREET SHOWN ON THE PLATS OF LIVINGSTON LAND COMPANY AND VIRGINIA REALTY AND INVESTMENT COMPANY. Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that upon application of Construction Associates, Incorporated, and upon the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Portsmouth and the report in writing of the viewers appointed by a Resolution adopted on the twenty-second day of April, 1958, after due notice posted in accordance with Section 15-?$8 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, the portions of the follow- lng streets shown on the plats of the Livingston Land Company~ namely: Fauquier Avenue, formerly known as Armiste~d Avenue, between the north side of the relocation of R~ce Street and the ~outh side of Bart Street~ Clifford Street, between the east side of Fauquier Avenue and the east side of Loudoun Avenue. Griffin Street, between the easm side of F~uquier Avenue and the east side of Loudoun Avenue, and Race Street, between the east side of F~uquier Avenue and the northern side of the relocation of Race Stree~ be the same are hereby closed, vacated and discontinued. And Be it Further ordained~ that a copy of this ordinance be recorded as deeds are recorded in the Cterk's Office of the Court of ~ustings for the City of Portsmouth and indexed in the names of the City of Portsmouth and Construction Associates, Incorporated, and a copy transmitted to the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Norfolk County in order that the streets so vacated may be marked upon the above-mentioned maps as requirsd by law.
