toE, the membership of the Commission shall be increased by two members, one of whom <br /> shall be a member of its ¢overnlng body and one shall be a member of its plar~uin¢ <br /> mission or a citizen and resident of such political subdivision. The terms of office <br /> o~ the new members shall be the same as the terms of office of the original members and <br /> they shall serve upon the same conditions as are provided in §l of this agreement and <br /> all of the provisions thereof as well as all o~ the ether provisions of this agreement <br /> shall be applicable to such new members and they shall be bound thereby and shall comply <br /> therewith. When any such county, city or town becomes a party to this agreement no <br /> regional plan or any part, amendment, extension, alteration or modification thereof nor <br /> any amendment, extension, alteration or modification of the then adopted reEior~l plan <br /> shall be. adopted except by the affirmative vote of not less than three-fourths of the <br /> entire membership of the Com~nission. <br /> <br /> §14. The Boards of Supervisors of Nansemond, Norfolk County, and Princess <br />Anne and the Councils of Norfolk, Portsmouth, South Norfolk, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach <br />will elect the members of the Commission to be selected by them within sixty days after <br />the day this a¢reement is executed on behalf of Nansemond, Norfolk County, Princess Anne~ <br />Norfolk, Portsmouth, South Norfolk, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach pursuant to authority <br />granted by their respective governing bodies <br /> <br /> §15. Nansemond, Norfolk County, Princess Anne, Norfolk, Portsmouth, South <br />Mor£olk, Suffolk or Virginia Beach or any other county, city or town who is a party to <br />this agreement under the provisions of §lS hereof may terminate this agreement as to <br />such political subdivision by action of its governing body to that effect. Such termina- <br />tion shall become effective after sixty days' written notice of such action is given <br />to the chairman, vice-chairman or executive director of the Cc~mmission. After such <br />notice has been given the political subdivision shall no-longer be bound by this agree- <br />ment or any o~ its terms, provisions and conditions and the members of the Com~aission <br />who have been selected by such political subdivision s?~all cease to be members of the <br />Commission. Upon such termination of this agreement any ~unds provided by such political <br />subdivision shall be retained by the Commission and expended for the purposes for which <br />they were appropriated. <br /> <br /> <br />
