Sec. 8-1o26. Lsases and ground rents. <br /> <br /> The City Auditor shall keep a list of all leases and gro~d rents, <br />shall charge the amount of the same to the City Treasurer. <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Sec° 8-1.27. Examination of books, etc., in auditor's office. <br /> The books, vouchers, contracts, bonds, receipts and other papers kept in <br />the office of the City Auditor shall be subject to the examination of the President <br />of the Council, the members of the council, the Director of Finance and the City <br /> <br />~an~ger. <br /> <br />Sec. 8-1.28. Schedule of deeds, choses in action, etCo <br /> <br /> The City Auditor shall keep a complete schedule of al! deeds, mort§ages, <br />contracts, 3udgments~ notes, bonds~ debts and choses in action belonging to the city <br />and confided to his custody~ <br /> <br />Sec° 8-1.29. Duty as to officers receiving revenues of city; recovery from officer <br /> failing to make proper settlement. <br /> <br /> It shall be the duty of the City Auditor~ as nearly ~s may be, to charge <br />all officers in receipt of revenues or mon~es of the city with the whole amount, from <br />time to time, of such receipts° He shall also require of all officers in receipt of <br />city mon~es that they shall submit reports thereof, with vouchers and receipts of pay- <br />ment therefor, into the city treasury in accordance with the ordins~ces of the city <br />and the regulations prescribed by the City 5~nager. ~f any such officer shall neglect <br />to make an adjustment of his accounts when required as aforesaid, and to pay over <br />such monies so received, it sI~ll be the duty of the City Auditor to issue notice in <br />writing, directed to such officer and his sureties, requiri~ him, or them, within <br />ten days, to make settlement of his account with the City Auditor, mud to pay over <br />the balance of the monies found to be due and in his h~nds belonging ~o the city <br />accordinE to the books of the City Auditor, and in case of the refusal or n~lect of <br />such officer to adjust his accounts, or pay over the balance to the City Treasurer, <br />as required, it shall then be the duty of the City Auditor to make report of the <br />delinquency of such officer to the President of the Council and the City 5~nager, <br />the latter of who~ shall suspend him at once fro~ office, <br /> <br /> <br />
