tc his home or place of abode; and should such minor refuse or fail so to do, the <br />officer shall take such minor to his home or place of abode should he deem such <br />advisable ~ <br /> <br /> (4) Should any such minor refuse to give sach officer his name and <br />address or the name and address of his parent, guardian or other adult person having. <br />the care and custody of such minor~ such officer shall take such minor to police <br />headquarters and ~here detain him until such time as he can he turned over to the <br />officers of the 3avenile and domestic relations court of the city to be dealt with <br />in the manner r~quired by law. <br /> <br /> (5) E~fery person who violates any of the provisions of this section~ or <br />who shall fail to proceed forthwith to his home or place of abode whe~ so ordered <br />by such officer, or who ~hall knov~.D~ly give a false name or false address to sash <br />officer shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not less than five dollars nor more <br />than one hundred-dollars, and each sUch violation sh~ll constitute a separate offense° <br /> <br /> This ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br /> morals, and ssfety~ an emergency is declared to exist and it shall take effect fro~a <br /> its passage. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held on <br />Nay 12~ 1959. <br /> <br />~ity~lerk <br /> <br /> <br />
