(a) Yhe annual license tax on motor vehicles, trailers and semiltrailers, <br />designed anm used for the transportation of passengers upon the streets of <br />this City are: <br /> <br /> (1) $10.00 for a private motor vehicle other than a motorcycle with <br />a norn.~al seating capacity of not more than 8 persons, including the driver, if <br />such private motor vehicle ms not usem for the nransportation of passengers for <br />compensation and ms not kept or usee for rent or for hire, or is not operated <br />under a lease without a chauffeur. <br /> <br /> (2) $0¢ per one hundred pounds of weight or major fraction thereof <br />for a private motor vehicle other than a motorcycle with a normal seating capa- <br />city of more than 8 adult persons including the driver if such private motor <br />vehicle is not used for the transportation of passengers for compensation <br />aud is nee kept or used for rani or fur hire or is not operated under a lease <br />withou~ chauffeur~ <br /> <br /> (3) 30¢ per hundred pouncs of weight or major fraction thereo! for <br />a contract school bus, public or private: <br /> <br /> {4) $?o3© for trailer or semitrailer designed for use as livin~ <br />.{uarters for human Delngs. <br /> <br /> {5) $0C per hundred pounds os weight or major fraction thereoi for <br />each motor vehicle, trailer or semitrailer kept or used for rent or for hire <br />or operated under a lease withou~ chauffeur for the transportation of passen- <br />gers. ~is subsection does no5 apply no vehicles used as cormmon carriers. <br /> <br /> (6) 90d per hundred pounds of weight or ma~or fraction thereof for <br />a taxicab and other vehicle kept for rent or hire operated with a chauffeur <br />for the transportation of passengers, which operates or should operate under <br />permits issued by the Stats Corporatio~ Commmssion as re<~uired by law.
