CO~I~TI~G ~ S~IO~S 16-58 ~ 16~, I~SI~, E~ ~b~, ~I~ ~ ISSU~ ~ ~FICA~ ~N~T~S ~R VI~TION Be it Ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that: Section 1, Chapter 16 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1951, as a~ended, is hereby amended by adding thereto a new Article to be numbered Article V, consisting of Sections 16-58 to 16-66, inclusive, to read as follows: ARTICLE V. EMPLOYEE HAULERS Section 16-58. Employee haulers defined. For the purposes of this Article, an employee hauler shall be defined aa any person operating a passenger bus for transportation of persons employed by one cool, on employer fro~ various points within the City to their place of employment within the City. Section 16--59. Compliance with Article. The oper&ti~on of pasaenSer buses by employee haulers upon the streets of the City shall be subject to the conditions, regulations and restrictions set forth in this Article. It shall be unlawful to operate, or cause to be operated, within the City any such bus unless such conditions, regulations and restrlction~ are co~plled with by the ~wners, operators and drivers of such buses. Section 16-60. Payment of Automobile License Taxes. Any person holding a certificate of public convenience and necessity under th~s Article shall pay to ~ City an auto, chile license tax equal To such tax paid the Sta~ of Virginia for automobile license tags on each such bus. Section 16-61. Liability Insurance. No employee hauler bus shall be operated on the streets of the City unless the owner a~d driver a~e p~otected by llabilit~ ln~mce issued by a ~ny ~rl~ ~ do buii~ss in this State in the s~ of such ~nts now r~ul~d by t~ State Cor~ratl~ C~l~si~ and of ~ r~ulr~nts of the Virginia ~tor Vehicle Safety ~lblllty ~t for su~ cases s~e ~d provided. Section L6-62. Sale or Transfer of Cer2lficaze of Public Convenience and Necessity And Bus. Oertiftc~ of public convenience and necessit~ issued under this ~rticls shall be sold or ~n~ferred only with the co~sent and approval of the City ~ia~er.
