18-25. Compliance with chapter; penalty for <br /> the violation of chapter, <br /> <br />(a) It shall be unlawful far any person to refuse, <br />fail, or neglect to comply with any~of the <br />provisions Of this chapter or any rule or <br />regulation pr6mulgated pursuant thereto, and any <br />such violation shall constitute a misdemeanor, <br /> <br /> (b) Every peTson conVicted of.a misdemeanor for <br />h violation of any of the provisions of this <br />chapter or rule or regulation promulgated pursuan~ <br />thereto, for which no other penalty ~s provided <br />shall, for a first conviction thereof, be <br />punished by a fine of not less than ten dollars <br />nor more than ene hundred dollars, or by <br />imprisonment in jail for not, less than one nor <br />more than ten days, or by both such fine and <br />imprisonment; for a conviction for a second such <br />violation within one year such person shall be <br />punished by a fine ef not less than twenty dollars ~ <br />nor more than two hundred dollars or by imprisonment <br />in ~ait for not !ess than one nor more Than <br />twenty days, or by both such fine and imprisonment; <br />for a conviction of a third er subsequent violation <br />within one year such person shall be punished <br />by a fine of not less than fifty dollars nor more <br />than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment in <br />jail for not less than ten days nor more than <br />six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. <br /> <br />Sec. 18-43o Same - Penalty fer reckless driving, <br /> <br /> Every person convicted of reckless driving under <br />sections 18-40~ 18-4t~ or 18-42 shall for the <br />first violation be punished as provided by <br />section 7-t. For each second or subsequent <br />conviction for the offense of reckless driving <br />unaer sections 18-40, 18-41, or 18-42 committed <br />within twelve months before or after the date <br />of another act of reckless driving for which he <br />has been convicted, such'person shall be punished <br />by a fine of, not less than one hundred dollars nor <br /> <br /> <br />
