AN ORDINANCE TO A~P2ND SECTIONS 18-25, 18-43, 18-46, <br />18-47~ 18-S3, 18-56, 18-57, 18-62, 18-119. 18-19S, <br />AND 18-214 OF ~tE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSS~OUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1961~ RELATING TO THE REGULATION OF TRAFFIC <br />AND THE PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF SUCIt REGULATIONS, <br />SO AS TO CONFOP~! TO CitANGES IN THE GENERAL LAW ENACTED <br />BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF VIRGINIA AT ITS 1962 SESSION. <br /> <br /> }~HERBAS, the City of Portsmouth is authorized to <br /> enact ordinances paralleling certain provisions of <br /> the Code of Virginia, provided such ordinances are <br />' ~'~ubstantially consistent with the state law; and <br /> <br /> IgNEREAS, the General Assembly of Virginia at its <br />1962 session amended certain provisions of the Code <br />of Virginia, 1950: and <br /> <br /> ~MEREAS, it is therefore necessary to amend <br />certain sections of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, 1961, so as to make the said sections conform <br />to the changes, in the Code of Virginia, !PS0, enacted <br />by the General Assembly of Virginia at its I962 session. <br /> <br /> NO;Y, ~tEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />Section t. That sections 18-25, 18-43, 18-46, 18-47, <br />18-S~ 18-5~, 18~57~ 18-62, 18-119, 18-195, and 18-214 <br />of the Code Jf the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />.1961, be amended and reordained to read as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
