AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE AND DIRECT THE C(kNVEY~NCE OF T~O PARCELS OF LAND WITEIN THE PROPOSED RIGHT OF WAY OF INTERSTATE ROUTE V~LERFAS, the State Highway Department has commenced authorized acquisition of the right of way for Interstate Route 264; and WHERFAS, the Planning Commission approved the location ~f said highway at the points involving ~he two parcels of land hereinafter mentioned; and ~EREAS, the Commonwealth of Virginia, with the power of eminent domain, has offered the sums hereip~fter stated for the respective ps~cels~ land. NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Ports- mouth, Virginia, that the ~ayor and City Clerk'be, and they hereby are, di- rected and authorized to execute, seal and deliver to the Commonwealth of Virginia, upon payment of the sums hereinafter stated into the City Treasury, a deed in_form approved by the City Attorney, with appropriate warranties of title, conveying the following described two parcels of land situate in the City of Portsmouth: PARCEL A. Being as shown on sheet 29 of the plans to he used for Route 264, State Highway Project 02S4-084-001, R/W 201, and lying on both sides of and adjacent to the survey centerline of proposed Route ~$4 from the lands of George T. McLean, Incorporated, at approximate station 261%11 to the west right of way line of Laigh Road at approximate station 259+23, and containing 4.1~ acres, more or less, land. PARCEL B. Being as shown on sheet ~9 of the plans to be used for Route 264, State Highway Pro~ec~ 0284-084-001, R/~N 201, and lying on the east (right) side of Service Road "B" and ~dja- cent ~o the south right of way line of Greenwood Drive of proposed Route 2S4 from the lands of George T. NcLean, Incor- porated, opposite approximate station ~82~5.S~ ~o the south right of way line of Greenwood Drive opposite approximate station ~$~9~.38, and containing 0.08 acre, more or less, land.
