AN ORDIN/~NCE TO AMEND SECTI-ON 29-134 OF THE <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, <br />1961, SO AS TO ADOPT A~ND~NTS TO TIlE STATE <br />PLt~BING CODE ADOPTED BY THE STATE BOARD OF <br />HEALTH ON MAY t7, 1962. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Section 29-134 of the <br />Code of the Ci%y of Portsmouth, Virginia,.1961, be <br />amended and reordained to read as follows. <br /> <br />Sec. 29-134, Adoption. <br /> <br /> Pursuant to Code of Virginia, section 52-407, <br /> there is .hereby adopted by City Council for the purpose <br />~'of regulating plumbing, plumbing equipment, plumbing <br /> fixtures and appurtenances thereto, that certain code <br /> known as the State Plumbing Code, adopted by the State <br /> Board of ttealth on May 6, 1959, and the amendments to <br /> the State Plumbing Code adopted by the State Board of <br /> Health on May 17, 1962, and the same are hereby adopted <br /> and inco~rporated as fully as if set out at length herein; <br /> provided~ that in the event of conflict or inconsistency <br /> between the provisions of the State Plumbing Code hereb~ <br /> adopted and the provisions of other ordinances of the <br /> City, the more stringent provisions shall be construed <br /> to control. <br /> <br /> Adopted ~y.the council of the City of <br />PortsmoUth, Virginia,'at a meeting held October 9, 1962,' <br /> <br />Teste. <br /> <br /> <br />
