Section 61. Cleaning, Pressing, <br /> Laundry-Soliciting: <br /> <br />Dyeing and <br /> <br /> Each person [other than a laundry, dry cleaning <br /> or diaper supply service establishment located in <br /> the City of Portsmouth and paying a license tax for <br /> the conduct of such business in the City of Portsmouth) <br /> engaging in soliciting general laundry or dry cleaning <br />' .. work or diaper supply service, where said person does <br /> · the laundry, dry cleaning or diaper service work out- <br /> ' side of the Cit~, or has it done outside of the City, <br />'..-. shall pay a licens~ tax of $800.00 per annum, and, in <br /> addition thereto, a license tax of $S0.00 per annum for <br /> each truck used in soliciting business within the <br /> Not prorated. <br /> <br /> No license tax shall be imposed under this <br />section upon any person operating such business in <br />an adjoining city, and having his plant in such <br />adjoining city, where such city does not impose a <br />:similar license tax upon any person operating his <br />business in and paying a license tax to the City of <br />Portsmouth and having his plant in Portsmouth, and <br />engaged in such business in both cities. <br /> <br />The intent of this provision is to grant the <br />reciprocal privileges to licensed persons in <br />adjoining cities engaged in such business, provided <br />such cities grant the same reciprocal privileges to <br />such persons licensed by the City of Portsmouth° <br /> <br /> This ordinance being necessary for the preservation <br />of the public health, morals and safety~ an emergency is <br />declared to exis~ and it shall take ~ffect from and after <br />its passage. <br /> <br />:ed by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />at a meeting held February 26, 1963. <br /> <br />lerk <br /> <br /> <br />
