AN ORDiN~2[CE TO PROVIDE FOR THE ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CiTY OF PORTSMOUTH UNDER EMINENT DOM~AIN PROCEEDINGS PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 258 OF THE ACTS OF ASSEMBLY OF 1958, SAID PROPERTY BEING NECESSARY FOR iMPROVEMENT OF A PORTION OF PORTSMOUTH BOULEVARD, ROIJ~i~E 337~ PARCEL 007. WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has found it no be necessary to widen and otherwzse zmprove $ pornlon of Portsmouth Boulevard Route 337, under a Federal Urban Aid Program whereby it is the responsibility of the said City no acquzre sll necessary additional property; and ~C~EREAS, the City of Portsmouth has not been able to purchase certain property necessary to this project oecause the owner thereof and the City have not been able to agree upon the price to be paid therefor; and ~4EREAS, the advancement of the work will be delayed unreason- ably if the said property is not made available as soon as possible NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council oi the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Attorney is directed to znstitute emznent domazn proceedings, employing counsel for that purpose, against the property hereinafter described, mn accordance with and pursuant to Section 23-f of the Charter of the City of Portsmouth (Chapter 258 of the Acts of Assembly of 1958). and that the sum of $635.90 De deposited to the credit of the court as provided by taw to com- pensate the owner thereof: (a) The owner of record is as fo!lows~ Pansy S. Green. (b) The interest to be acquired is the fee simple estate in and to the property hereinafter described as Parcel 007Z, and a two year con- struction easement in and to the property here- inafter described as Parcel 007Y. (c) The approximate ares of Parcel 007Z is 2,535 square feet, and of Parcel 007Y is 50 square feet. (d) The description of the property is as follows: That certain parcel of land situate mn the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, more particularly described as follows:
