AN ORDINANCE TO A~4END SUBSECTION (C) OF SECTION 5-8 <br />OF TIlE ZONING ORDINANCE OF Tile CITY OF PORTSb{OUTtl~ <br /> 31, RELATIN~G TO FLOOR AREA DEVOTED TO RESIDENTIAL <br />PURPOSES IN THE' RESIDENTIAL R-OO AND R-60-A DISTRICTS. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City <br /> of Portsmouth, Virginia, that subsection (c) of Section <br /> ' 5-8 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Portsmouth, <br />· ' ' 1961~,be amended and reordained to read as follows: <br /> <br /> (c) ~laxim~m allowable floor area devoted <br />to residential purposes in the Residential R-60 and <br />R-60-A Districts shall be one-half of the plot area; <br />provided, however, that in the Residential R-60 aha <br />R-60-A Districts, upon approval of the Planning Commissxon <br />after submission of site plan and general characteristics <br />~f the.building~ the maximum allowable floor area <br />dovoted, to residential purposes for a building ex'ceding <br />three s~ories above the ground level in which elevators! <br />'are provided shall be equal to the plot arCao <br /> <br />Portsmouth <br /> <br />d by the Council of the City of <br /> at a meeting held August 27, 1965. <br /> <br />este ,, <br /> <br /> <br />
