Sec. 5-32. Impounding of unvaccinated dogs. <br /> <br /> Any dog over four months old found within the limits <br />of.the city without evidence that sudh dog has been <br />vaccinated or inoculated in accordance with the provisions <br />of this article shall be impounded by game warden, any <br />police officer or other authorized person for a period <br />not exceeding seven days, during which time such dog may <br />be returned to its .o~er upon proof of o~ership, vaccination <br />of the dog, payment by such owner of the cost of keeping such <br />dog at the rate of three dollars for the first day and one <br />dollar for each additional day, or any part thereof, to- <br />gether with the payment Of any fin6s lawfully assessed again§t <br />such o~mer under the provisions of this article. <br /> <br /> At the expiration of the seven-day period'above <br />mentioned. ~ny dog not so claimed by its owner may be <br />disposed of by giving it into the custody of any person <br />who will pay for the cost of impounding such dog as afore- <br />said, and the vaccination thereof. If any such dog is not <br />so disposed of, such dog may be killed in a humane manner. <br /> <br />Sec. 3-55.
