(h) ~airty-five miles per ~our on n~ways in this <br />city, except upon interstate or other lirmited access <br />highways with divided roadways. <br /> (i) Not~;~ithstanding the provisions of subdivisions <br />(a), (b) and (c) of this subsection, the speed limits <br />for passenger motor vehicles while towing utility, camp- <br />ing or boat trailers not excee~cing a~ actual gross <br />weight of twenty-five hundred pounds shall be the same <br />as that for passenger motor vehciles. <br /> <br /> (2) I~nimum speed limit~. <br /> (a) No person shall drive a motor veb~icle at suc~ <br />a slow speed as to impede the normal and reasonable <br />movement of traffic except when reduced speed is nec- <br />assa~y for safe oper~ation or in compliance with law. <br /> (b) Whenever the city shall determine on the basis <br />of an engineering and traffic investigatign that slow <br />speeds on any part of a ~ighway consistently impede the <br />normal and reasonable movement of traffic, the city <br />=~y determine and declare a ,minimum speed li~it to be <br />set forth on signs posted on such highws~v below which <br />no person shall drive a vehicle except when necessary <br />for safe operation or ir, compliance ,,~lth law, provided <br />that such ,minimum speed limit shall not apply to a <br />school bus carrying children. <br /> <br /> (~) Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions, the' <br />city may decrease the speed limits set forth in sub- <br />sections (1) (a) through (i) (c) of this section a~d <br />may increase or decrease the speed !i~ts se'~ forth in <br />subsections (I) (f) through (1) (h) of this section <br />on any highway 1render its j~risdiction. Such increased <br />or decreased speed limits shall be effective only v/hen <br />prescribed after an engineerirg and traffic investiga- <br />tion mud when indicated upon the D~hway by signs, <br /> ~j person violating this section shall be guilty <br />of a ~sdemes~or mud upon conviction shall be punished <br />as provided in section 18-25. <br /> <br />Sec. 18-48.
