the city pound for the purposes of this section, the <br />owner or person having legal custody thereof shall <br />pay the sum of three dollars for the first day and <br />one dollar for each additional day, or any part <br />thereof, the dog is so quarantine'd at the city pound. <br />Any dog quarantined pursuant to this article shall <br />be so kept as to be.reasonably available ~or inspection <br />by any duly authorized officer of the department of <br />public health at alt reasonable times and .shall not <br />be removed or released by any person from the place <br />of quarantine without the written consent of the <br />director o~ public health, <br /> <br />Sec. 3-26. Examination of brain of dog dyxng <br /> during quarantine. <br /> <br /> If any dog shall die during the period of <br />quarantine and such do~ is known to have bitten <br />another dog or person at anytime du~ing a period <br />of two weeks immediately preceding th~ death of <br />su~n dog, then it shall be the duty of the owner or <br />the person having legal custody of such dog to cause <br />the brain of such dog To be examined for rabies at a <br />recognized laboratory and to have.the report of such <br />laboratory made available to the director of public <br />health. <br /> <br />Sec. 3-27. Report of dog having rabies, having been <br /> exposed to rabies or having bitten a person. <br /> <br /> It shall be the duty of any person owning or having <br />custody of any dog known to have rabies, known to have <br />been exposed to rabies, or which shall have bitten any <br />person, in addition to the other duties imposed in this <br />Code, to immediately report such matter to the director <br />of public health. <br /> <br />Sec. 3-28. Vaccination required. <br /> <br /> No dog over four months old shall be permitted <br />within the city limits unless such dog shall have been <br />vaccinated or immunized in the manner set forth, in <br /> <br /> <br />
