Sec. 3-42. Regulating Kennel Dogs. <br /> <br />The ~vner of a kennel shall securely fasten the <br />license tag to thelkennel enclosure in full view <br />and keep one of the identification plates provided <br />tllerewith attached to the collar of each dog au- <br />thorized to be kept enclosed in the kennel. Any <br />identification plates not so in use must be kept <br />by the o~mer or custodian and promptly shown to <br />any game warden or other officer upon request. A <br />kennel dog shall not be permitted ~o stray beyond the <br />limits of the enclosure, but this shall not prohibit- <br />removing dogs therefrom temporkrily whi~e under the <br />control of the owner or custodian for the purpose <br />of exercising, hunting, breeding, trial or show. <br /> <br />Sec. 3-45. Killing Unlicensed. Dogs. <br /> <br />It shall be the duty of the gmne warden to kill an)' <br />dog of unknown ownership found running at large on <br />which the license tax has not been paid; provided, <br />that the game warden may deliver such dog to an7 <br />person in the city ~lo will pay the required license <br />fee on such dog, with the understanding that should <br />the legal owner thereafter claim the dog and prove <br />his ownership~ he may recover such dog by paying to the <br />person to whom it was delivered by the game warden, <br />the amount of the license fee paid by him and a <br />reasonable charge for the keep of the dog ~vhile in his <br />possession. <br /> <br />Sec. 5-44. List of dog license sales and disposition <br /> thereof, etc. <br /> <br />The City Treasurer shall enter in a dog license sales <br />record, the date of tile sale of dog rags~ including <br />kennels, the names and addresses of persons to whom <br />sold, the serial number and keep an account of the <br />amount of the license tax paid° Tile City Treasurer <br />shall keep a copy of said dog license sales record~ in <br />numerical order, and at the close of the calendar year <br />file an annual report of said sales with the City Manager <br />and the City Auditor~ and the City Auditor shall audit said <br />records, accounts, and unsold dog license tags and author- <br />ize the City Treasurer to destroy unsold tags. <br /> <br /> <br />
