(3) Piauos, organs, phonographs and record players, and records to <br />be used therewith and all other musical instrw~ents of ~natever kiud, radio <br />and television instruments and equipment. <br /> <br /> (4~) Oil paintings, pictures, statuary, curios, articles of virtu. <br />and works of art. <br /> <br /> (5) Diamonds, cs~eos or other precious stones and all precious <br />metals ~tsed as ornaments or jewelry. <br /> <br />(6) Sporting ar~ photographic equipment. <br /> <br />(?) Clothing and objects of ~oparel. <br /> <br /> (8) All other tangible personal property used by an individual <br />or a family or household incident ~o maintaining an abode. <br /> <br />Provided, however, that the exemption hereby created shall apply only to such <br />property owned and used by an individual or by a family or household incident <br />to maintairdng an abode for such individual, family or household and shall <br />not be construed to extend to sdch property that is used to furnish an abode <br />for use by others from whom rent or other consideration is received. <br /> <br /> (c) All boats or watercraft under five tons burthen used for busi- <br />ness or pleasure are hereby declared to be a separate class of tangible <br />personal property, the tax on whimh shall be Ufnree Dollars ($3.00) on each <br />one hundred dollars assessed valuation thereof. <br /> <br /> (d) All vehicles without motive power, used or designed ~o be <br />used as mobile homes or offices or for other means of habitation b~ any person <br />are hereby declared to be a separate class of tangible personal property, <br />the tax on which shall be Three Dollars ($3.00) on each one hundred dollars <br />assessed valuation thereof. <br /> <br /> Adopted b~ the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meet~ held .april 27, 1965. <br /> <br /> ~este: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br /> <br />
