BE IT ORDAINED by the Couucil of the City of Portsmc~th, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> Section 1: - That Chapter 10 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1961, Oe amended by adding thereto a <br />new article ntm~ered 15, such new article to read as follow~: <br /> <br />AP~ICLE XV. LAW LIBRARY FUND. <br /> <br />Sec. 10-121. Assessment. <br /> <br /> There is hereby imposed mud provided an assessment <br />as part of the costs incident to each civil action <br />filed in the courts of record, located within the <br />boundaries of the City of Portsmouth, the sum of One <br />Dollar ($1.00) and for each civil actic~ filed in a <br />court not of record, located within tl~ boundaries of <br />the City of Portsmouth, the sum of Fifty Cents (50¢). <br /> <br />Sec. 10-122. Duty of Clerk. <br /> <br /> The assessment shall be collected by the clerk of <br />the court in which the action is filed and remitted by <br />him to the city treasurer of the City of Portsmouth <br />witbin ten (10) days after the end of each month. <br /> <br />Sec. 10-123. Duty of City Auditor. <br /> <br /> The City auditor shall set up a special account . <br />on his books for the law library ftmd and the funds so <br />deposited shall be disbursed on vouchers <br />persons as <br /> <br /> <br />
