kN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION $5-t4 OF ~{E CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA,-1961, TO <br />EXEMPT TRAILER CA~MPS FROM PROVIDING ~7ATER <br />CLOSETS WHEN SUC]I C~ktPS ADMIT ONLY TRAILERS <br />EQUIPPED I~tTH BUILT-IN WATER CLOSETS PROVIDED <br />THEY ARE CONNECTED TO AN APPROVED SANITARY <br />SEWER SYSTEM. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Section 35-i4 of <br />the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />1961, be amended and reordained to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 35-14. Water closets. <br /> <br /> (a) There shall be provided for each such <br />automobile trailer camp, to be conveniently <br />located on the premises~ one water closet for <br />each sex, in the ratio of one water closet for <br />every ten males or?factional part thereof, and <br />one water closet for every ten females or frac- <br />tional part thereof, living or sleeping in <br />trailer cars parked on or in such automobile <br />trailer camps. Such water closets shall be <br />distinctly marked "For Men" and "For Women" <br />respectively. <br /> <br /> (b) The provisions of subsection <br />above shall not apply to any trailer camp which <br />admits only trailers equlpped with built-in <br />water closets provided such water closets are <br />connected in an approved manner to an approved <br />sanitary sewer system. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the ~ty of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting '~ ~ <br />September 7, 1965. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
