Radio, television and phonograph equipment <br />Restaurants, eating places,.night clubs <br />Second hand stores <br />Scientific, medical supplies <br />Shoes <br />Soda fountain <br />Sporting goods <br />Used cars <br />Variety stores <br />Vendors vending merchandise by use of coin-operated vending <br /> machines and subject to tax under Section 58-362 of the <br /> Code of virginia, 1950, as amended <br /> Workmen's clothes <br />Other retail stores and retail merchants <br /> <br />Section 90. Rummage Sales: <br /> <br /> Every p~rson operating a rummage sale shall pay a license tax of <br />$S.00 per month or portion thereof. This license shall not be proratable <br />or transferable. <br /> <br /> No rummage sale may be held on High Street between Chestnut and <br />Water Streets nor in any shop, store or building fronting on High S~reet <br />between Chestnut and Water Streets. <br /> <br />Section 91. Seafood Packing: <br /> <br /> Every person engaged in the business of packing oysters, crabs or <br />fish, or any. combination thereof, shall pay an annual license tax of $500.00. <br />Packing Crabs only, $75.00. Not prorated. <br /> <br />Section 92. Shipping Offices - Hiring Agents: <br /> <br /> Every person who, for compensation, or promise thereof, either <br />expressed or implied, secures any sailor or s~aman for shipment aboard a <br />coastwise or deepwater vessel, shall first pay a license tax of $200.00,. <br />which shall not be p~orated. <br /> <br /> Every such person shall keep a l~st of all persons so engaged or <br />secured by him for said purpose, and on each Monday morning he shall furnish <br />to the Chief of Police of the city a copy thereof, together with the name of <br />the vessel .in which every person so engaged or secured by him shall have <br />shipped. <br /> <br /> In no case shall a fee of more than $2.00 be charged for engaging <br />or securing any sailor or seaman~ and if the vessel or the owner thereof <br />shall be required to advance any sum of money on account of any debt incurred <br />by the sailor or seaman to the person engaging or securing him, such creditor <br />shall obtain the signature of the said debtor to a certificate showing the <br />amount of such debt, which said certificate shall be kept in a book which <br />shall at all times be open tO the inspection o£ the police of the city. <br /> <br />Section 93.
