For the follow, ring sizes of service connection the indicated charge shall be paid in advance: 3/4 inch service connection ............ $ 50.00 1 inch service connection ............ 100.00 1 1/2 inch service connection ............ 125.00 2 inch service connection ............ 150.00 Where the size of the service corm. ection exceeds two inches~ the applicant shall be required to pay a charge equal to the actual cosy of such installation, plus ten per cent. ~ne director shall estimate the charge~ and the applicant will deposit such amount before tlne work is done. ~ accounting shall be made of the cosy of such installation. If the deposit is less than such charge, the applicant shall pay the differ- ence within ten days, and if the deposit is more than such charge tha dif- ference shall be ref~mded promptly. (b) Repair or replacament of existirg water service connections. Whenever any existing water se_~vice connectio.~ which was installed prior to July ~, 1962, requires maintenance~ repairs, reptaca~ent or en- targamenv between the waver main and the meter~ suc~ work s_hall be done by the water department, and the owner thereof shall be required to make the pazvnent or aeposit specified in subsection (a) hereof as if the in- stallation of a new water service co~nection was being made; provided, however, if the waver fl~~ at the mete~ is five gallons per minute or more per each dwelling u~it served or the water serwice line between the meyer and the fixttu~es in the building is noz capable of the same flow, such work shall be paid for by the owner at cosy to the water deparunenv plus ten per cent. Any such wa~er service connection shall be o~ed and there- after maintained by the water department. (¢) Repair of road damage betwee~ v~ter main and meter. ~fnenever an existirg water service line is d~aaged because of ve- hicular traffic o~ the road above the same or caving in of the road~ay between the ~er ~in ~nd the meter, it shall be the responsibility of the ~ater department to repair such damage and replace suc~ lines as the situation required. (d) ~;~inter~nce of other ~rater service cor~nections. Except as provided in subsection (c) above, any water service line or se~yaent thereof for which the paz~nent or d~oosit herein specified shall nov have been paid shall be owned and maintained by the owner or tenant of the pra~aises se~¢ed thereby. Failure ~o maintain any suclo se~¢ice line in accordance wit. h the standards of the water depar~ment shall be cause for discontinuira~ service.
