Each such police officer shall attach to such <br />vehicle a notice to the o~er thereof, that such <br />ve~hicle has been parked ~ vioIation of a pro- <br />v~sion of this article mud instructing such owner <br />to report to the clerk of the raunicipai court, <br />traffic di~_sion, of the city in regard to such <br />violation. Each suc~u o%~er may, within 5wensy- <br />four hours of the tLme Waen such notice was as- <br />tached to such vgnicle, pay to such clerk a penalty <br />for and in full satisfaction of such violation, <br />the sum of one dollar for each hour, or fraction <br />thereof, du~ng which such ved~icle occupied such <br />parking space in viotatior] of any of ~ne provi- <br />sions of this division; provided, however, that <br />if such penalty is paid within one hour after the <br />notice is attached to such vehicle, then the amount <br />of the per~lty shall be twenty-five cents instead <br />of one dollar. ~z~e failure of such owner to make <br />such payment to such clerk within twenty-four hours <br />shstl render such o%~ner subjec~ to ti~e penalty <br />provided in section 18-173. <br /> <br />Sec. 18-172. ~en provisions of division to <br /> apply. <br /> <br /> The provisions o£ this division shall app~v <br />to parking only between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and <br />6:00 P.M., on days other than Sundays and the <br />follo~-~_ng holidays: New Year's Day, Fourth of <br />July, Labor Day, ~nanksgiving Day and ~aristmas <br />D~v. <br /> <br />2.
