TO iSA-IS, <br />INCLUSIVE, CREATING THE PORTS~4OUTH LAI¥ LIBRARY <br />BOARD, PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF AND <br />PRESCRIBING THE TEP~S OF OFFICE OF ~D THE OATH <br />TO BE TAKEN BY THE ME~BERS OF SAID BOARD, PRO- <br />VIDING FOR THE FILLING OF VACANCIES ON SAID BOARD, <br />FOR THE COMPENSATION OF SAID MEMBER$~ FOR THE <br />ORGANIZATION OF SAID BOARD, AND PRESCRIBING THE <br />PO~ERS AND DUTIES OF SAID BOARD. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1961, be amended by adding <br />thereto nine new sections numbered 15A-7 to ISA-IS, <br />inclusive, such new sections to read as follows: <br /> <br />ARTICLE II LAW LIBRARY <br /> <br />Sec. ISA-7. Portsmout~ Law Library Board - <br /> creation, compositiop. <br /> <br /> There is hereby created a board to be known <br />as the Portsmouth Law Library Board, which shall <br />consist of five members. The City Attorney shall <br />be an ex officio member of the board, and the re- <br />maining four members shall be appointed by the <br />council. The appointed members shall be residents <br />of the City. Two of the appointed members shall <br />be practicing attorneys, one shall be a judge of <br />one of the courts located within ~e City, and <br />one shall be a citizen who is not a licensed <br />attorney and not an official or employee ofany <br />court located within the city. <br /> <br />Sec. 15A-8o Same - terms of members; oath; <br /> vacancies; compensation. <br /> <br /> <br />
